“There is no greater gift to oneself than to help others in need.”
After many years of being a passionate consumer of designer handbags and also having formal training as a designer. I decided to create my own handbag line. I feel handbags are the most important accessory to enhance any outfit. It is a way to say who you are without having to speak.
As my dream of having a handbag line was coming into fruition, I still felt there was a void within my brand. I wanted every aspect of the company to speak true to who I am and what I want my legacy to be. With an annual birthday tradition of feeding the homeless the idea of “The Laine Effect” was born.
“The Laine Effect” is my personal dedication to have a positive impact on society. It is a One for One program.
For every handbag that is sold a care package will be donated to help a homeless person in need.
The care packages are given out at the end of the month. We calculate the total number of handbags sold. Based on that number we create the care packages and personally distribute them in areas where homeless people are most in need. The goal I wish to accomplish with The Laine Effect is to first have a huge impact within my local community, and then for it to eventually become a global program to help others.
The care package comes with the basic necessities:

- Hand Sanitizer
